Jayson's 66g SCA Cube build.

Sorry to hear that. I know the feeling. I did the same last year with my 175g and lost about 10 fish.

I've come to realize that's going to be the normal running level. Right after I'd posted I notice that I'd forgotten to connect the rj-45 cable from the apex to the pump controller so every adjustment I made nothing was actually happening. Now that I've corrected my goof up I'm running at 45% and was considering maybe a little higher. I'm doing LPS so didn't want to get it too high.

Where did you get that sock holder? I couldn't find one that fit very well.

I picked it up from Marine depot. Had to prep for it since the plastic screws weren't long enough to keep it attached to the glass so I set it up to where the back part of it that is on the outside of the glass was wedged between the sump and inside of the cabinet.

I am brand new to reefing (have much experience with freshwater aquariums). I ordered the same 66 gal SCA PNP and it is on the truck en route to me at the moment. In the meantime, I am researching everything I can about everything. Right now I am trying to figure out what plumbing supplies I will need in order to set up my plumbing similar to yours. My understanding is that the bulkheads on this system are set up for 1"...is that correct? The pvc pipes in your photos appears to be smaller than 1".

Would you mind telling me what diameter of pvc you used from the black part of the bulkhead to the sump for the drain, emergency drain, and return line?

Also where you ran 2 ball valves off of the return line, what size pvc pipe/connectors did you use there? They look smaller than 1".

Thanks in advance!
