My favorite ATO. Too bad they stopped making them. I prefer float switches over optical sensors. Optical sensors need cleaned often. I put this JBJ float switch inside a nylon stocking to keep snails out and never cleaned it until I took the tank down 6 years later.

I used some spare parts to modify this one so it uses a magnet mount. It allows fine adjustments that the stock brackets make difficult.

My ato for my 240 is a JBJ ATO and it's been great for about 10 years.

By far my favoirte ATO. i don't plan to ever use anything else. Really like I can use any small pump with a 110v plug.

I have a bunch of them. 2 in tanks, 2 complete spares( have never needed one) and a couple left over brains. I plan to use one of the brains in my DIY filter roller I am slowly making.

one uses a 24v PS to the tunze pump the other is using a Amazon Peristaltic pump pushing water from my basement to the tank for ATO

I been using one of these cheap external pumps for a few years. Its nothing pretty but im a function over form guy. I can hear it but it's quieter than my old Tunze ato pump.

That will be a nice option once my tunze goes. I may pick one up. I am the same. Function over form.
That is why I have a cabinet with doors and a basement with fish stuff.
