@Jeffcb man I’m afraid of leaks. After the crash in 2017 with my RSR 250 it was awhile before I could drain and clean the tank. It had so much build up on the glass I had to use a razor blade scraper. Invariably I nicked the silicone a couple times although barely so. When I fill it again I’ll do it really slow and check for leaks the whole time. So to what degree did you nick your silicone relatively speaking?
Not much but enough. It started getting coralline in the seam I think. It never leaked. I just figured I had better contact RS. They offered a new one so I took it. I think the actual seal was intact. It just got in the guard.

UV problem solved. Instead on spending 500+ on a Aqua UV 25 watt, brackets lines and so forth I just ordered a new Coralife AquaTwist X6 18 watt unit of Amazon for 123.30. Will be plug and play replacing the old one. The last one worked for a year and a half. Maybe I can repair it as a back for when the new one leaks.

@Jeffcb so how long did you own tank until RS replaced it? Did they require any proof of purchase or ask how long you owned? I'm terrified if I have a leak I'll have to shell out $100's for a new one. Fingers crossed !!

Started that colony with 2 mushrooms. One released and there is a colony in the back side of the rock about the same size.

I got a mangrove here while back. It was just a bud with no leaves. It likes the nasty ol sump.

Cool mangrove!! I plan to have one strapped to a down pipe in the overflow box of my Reefer. They really benefit from occasional misting of freshwater on their leaves.

There is a glimmer of hope....

The meteor Shower shown in the first picture died in a matter of a month. I had it for almost a year . I was on a 3/4 inch frag and didn't do anything for several month. Then it tool off spreading and growing all over the rock. About 3 months ago it started turning bright white. All params checked out. Totally gone and white. No color left. Then the algae covered it. No clue as to why. As you can see in the second picture it is returning. Maybe my Meteor Shower will grow back.

This was in November. The harry Mushroom below it may have stung it. I am removing the Hairy Mushroom.

It was completely gone. It wants to live! There is a glimmer of hope.

Replace Aquatic Life RD/DI cartridge's today. After about a year and a half the TDS has risen to 6. Time to replace. I am getting some GHA in the 250. ICP test was good so hopefully this will solve GHA problem. Sediment filter A is very dirty.

I bought this unit for the Reefer250 and installed it under the sink in the utility / fish room. Later I build at 65 gallon mixing station for the Reefer 900. I use the small unit to make top off water still. Its convenient.

My Reef Tank is 20 Mounts old now. My how we have grown!

One of my first corals was 2 Red Mushrooms on a Turbo snail. 10/13/2020

Today, 17 months later. Cant count them all. There are about 20 on back side of that rock were one let loss and re-settled in the back.
