40! How many did you start with? I think I have about 25 polyps. I started with 5.

I think 20 or so.. I kinda neglected them for a while.. :(

I did move them to a better place now and they're getting decent lighting so I hope they start doing better.... I think I fragged it twice already... I probably fragged about 10-15 polyps already so I guess they are doing okay growthwise even though they were neglected for a bit...

man, I have to tell you that your pics are getting better and better... keep up the good work man.. :)

James, do you think he will go after my 6-line? I'm really worried about that because my 6-line only has one eye so I don't think he will put up much of a fight.

I think he should be OK, mine never really got mean to other fish really. Once they get to breeding size they will create a nest area where they hide. What they do then is they will gather macro algae to surround the opening and hide there nest area. Only males will do this from what I understand. That is when they will get a little territorial. Mine had done this a few times, cause after awhile the algae would get out of hand and I would clean it out. I have never seen a fish throw a temper tantrum like this fish did. He started breathing really, really hard and knocking stuff over and just went berserk. That lasted for about a day or 2 and he calmed down and started over again. That was the only time I did that after seeing his reaction.....My wife and I just sat there and laughed our butt off at this fish. I would say it was by far the most beautiful fish I have had.......

You 6-line should be fine, I had a mandarin in with mine and never had any issues...

I'm not sure. When I added him he had both eyes. A few days later he was missing one. It's a rough tank Laurie!

Sounds like this fish has a lot of personally! Idon't plan on having a pair so I should'nt have any problems.

I really like them too! For the last couple of months I was getting no growth out of them but I noticed yesterday that I have like 10 new polyps and a bunch of babies!
