Sold as JF Fruity Pebbles, but it looks completely different from all pictures I can find of JF Fruity Pebbles.

Differences due to lighting that will change over time? or a completely different monti?

I mean its either a poor photo or a browned out monti so its going to be even harder to id. If I had no idea what it was I'd guess a browned out pokerstar monti.

I color corrected the photo to get as close as what it looks like in person

I'd just give it some time to settle in and color up. I looked up photos of it and it looks exactly like a rainbow montipora. If you trust the seller and it colors up then you probably have the JF piece.

Sounds good. Answered my question that coral change color as they acclimate to a new tank and lighting!

Another question, are these plating montis or encrusting montis?

Encrusting monti. Sps Change color due to light, nutrients and stability each tank is different. You could have good light and nutrients and still have poor color due to stability. Good luck!

Yesterday, I just got a JF Fruity Pebbles from Pieces of the Ocean in their LPS Surprise Bundle. It looks just like your picture.

That is where I got it. I will give it a few weeks to see what type of lighting works out best for coloring. Only been in my tank for a day!
