Hello,

I just bought an APEX. And upon opening the box I found salt all over two of the probes. and it looks like the blue prob is still filled with water. I was curious. Is this normal? Or do you think my unit has been tampered with?

Thanks.

Is the red probe still filled with water? Its possible one of the reservoirs meant to keep the orp or the ph probe wet leaked while in the package.

No the red probe is not is not filled with water. Only the blue probe. Does this mean it's broken? I'll guess I'll see.

That’s normal. Both of my Apex units had a bit of salt and liquid around the caps. The caps are just to prevent the probes from drying out. Wait until you’re ready to place them in your tank before removing the caps.

I've experienced this multiple times as well and not had an issue.

Absolutely normal and typical. As long as there is any moisture left inside the cap, you're ok.
Also, save the caps. If you ever want to store the electrodes, put some electrolyte in the caps and then put them back on.
