I dose kalk from a reservoir at night using a versa pump and 2 part during the day. The 16 gal kalk reservoir below will last me a little less than 2 weeks. The little black ATO reservoir on the right holds a little over 3 gallons and barely runs with all the kalk I dose.

This tank isn’t super large about 100g so for now the co2 scrubber is viable as I only change media about every 3 weeks but it doesn’t hold a super high stable ph. Has gotten up to 8.4 last week but now trending around 8.25, also takes all day to get to that point then drops around 8 or under at night. If I can dos a small amount of Kalk at night and keep ph lets say at 8.1 I would be hoping to consistently get ph up to 8.3 or higher during day. How big of boost would Kalk add? I will keep testing every day to check calcium anount
Those CO2 media might deplete sooner than you think, depending on the size of your skimmer. Are you recirculating by chance? That might help prolong its efficacy.

How often are you dosing it? Continusly or every little bit. The consumption I have at the moment I don’t think I’d need it constantly but every little bit would help keep ph up

It’s not recirculating currently but it was never up to 8.4 until it was last week always usually peaked at 8.3 ish. And currently only the bottom 1/3 or 1/4 of media is purple

I dose 4 liters continuously overnight from 8 p.m to 8 a.m. It doesn’t sound like you will need 2 part with kalkwasser dosing.

PH makes a huge difference. When I can crack the windows, my acropora take off! You can see they’re happy and alk consumption jumps up.

The higher your alk consumption, the higher the kalk will push up the nighttime PH. Do you have a lot of SPS?

Not yet on a lot of sps but start to slowing add frags over next couple months. Have about 5 pieces, mainly acros. Tank is using about .8 dkh a day and calcium around 20 ish if testing is correct which was off recently so I’ll need to adjust that. I’ll probably hold off Kalk for now and when nutrients get higher add the fuge to combat it. Then as consumption increase probably then starting adding Kalk wouldn’t you say?

I always start with kalk. The PH boost just keeps getting better as your tank grows in.

I'm not sure I understand the question. That's about half potency of kalk, but it may be sufficient for your system.

Sorry about that, I just got a tunze 5074 and was wondering how much kalk do I put in the reactor... its gonna be running off of my auto top off which is 10 gallons
I refill the 10 gallons once a week

In a reactor, you generally fill it to the max the manufacturer recommends, independent of the reservoir size.
