Hi All,

We have a 150gallon that has been flourishing for years now. SPS, LPS and softies all seem to thrive except for one type of coral: torches.

Torches never seem to fully color up or flourish. We have a beautiful tiger torch that started out bright yellow and has turned into a fully muted green (haven’t taken a picture of the torch since it started going downhill over the past 6 months). Any body have recommendations for coloring up and keeping torches happy?

Match the conditions they developed those colors under. FLuorescing and chromo proteins are made by coral to deal with lighting spectrum/intensity and water parameters. Some may have very specific requirements to maintian desired colors. A potential issue is matching the condition to keep colors in your torches may not be favorable for other corals in your system.
