Dear Colleagues
Dear Reefers

I had been dreaming of a saltwater tank for ages, and in the meantime, I had several freshwater ones. Finally, on July 10th, 2024, my dream came true, and my tank was filled with saltwater.
The tank is located in my living room and measures 257 cm (101 in) in length, 70 cm (27.5 in) in width, and 65 cm (25.6 in) in height.
The sump size is 211 cm (83 in) in length, 55 cm (21.6 in) in width, and 41 cm (16.1 in) in height, including an 80L (21G) AOT reservoir.
The capacity of display tank is 1110L (293G) and sump capacity is 170L (44G), total saltwater capacity is 1280L (338G).

Initial equipment:
4 x Jebao MOW16 Wave makers (I have already ordered new one - four AI Nero 7 and one Orbit 4);
Main pomp Jebao MDP-15000;
ATO: Aqua Trend Levelautomatic Milestone +;
Deltec 1500i skimer;
Red Sea Reefmatt 1200;
3 x Skylight Hyperspot RM M;
RODI production station in the boiler room;

Hi there! How are the hyperspot lights working for you? I’m considering using a hyperspot as they seem to have a great spectrum. I use the hyperbar for my freshwater tanks and must say it’s pretty impressive so I’m a fan of the brand but there is hardly any info on them anywhere.

Hi @Carnajo
To be honest, I'm not an expert yet, but so far, I'm quite satisfied with it.

Absolutely, they offer a great spectrum and it's very user-friendly with the app. You can customize the spectrum to your liking, but I opted for one of the preset options and haven't had to think about it since.
I have already some SPS (Seriatopora, Stylphora) in my tank and they are growing quite nicely.

Thanks, good to know. There just isn't a lot of information on them (I guess they're not really available in the US) but I've been using their freshwater lights and they're great.

Some update: today is a 303 days from a start.

In the meantime I had a dino, cyano and some other plagues.
I 'e replaced the Jebao wave makers by 2x orbit 4 and 2x nero 7 and added to the system a power backup (The sinusPRO 1000 E 12V and the battery 160Ah), already tested. The wave makers, main pomp and skimer were running on the battery 7h and still the battery was half loaded.
