Will 1 unit cover a 48 inch tank well!?

Yes it will cover that area well, just keep realistic expectations. You may not be able to keep light loving acros in the corners on the sand bed. You also will need to mount it higher. You won't have any problems other than that. Light spread is great and even. Build you aquascape so you don't create unnecessary shadows and dark spots.

I have had one AP700 over a75 since last January, and then still just the one since upgrading to a 120g in October. I love it, aside from it not being apex friendly. I have it about 14" off the water, and the tank is 24" tall. I haven't been able to talk myself into a part meter and haven't gotten a lux meter yet either, can any of you recommend an intensity to shoot for? Currently my Photoperiod is about 11 hours, ramping from the deep blue to 2 stops advice that and then back down, max is only at 40%for about 3 hours in the middle. and everything seems happy from sps to lps (mostly euphilia).

Well there's word that it will b apex ready soon. And thats what I'm wanting 4. I don't have an apex yet but only in a 30g HOB and this is for my change 2 my 75 gal sumped. I bought a deep blue HO 48' but was 100$ so I took it as my hood burned up and can use it as a supplemental addition as it uses freakn switches and not a timer. Smh

All 8 t-5's and 3 ap700. Max is 65 on the leds. Leds are on for about 12 hours but ramp up and down with only a 3 hour peak at 65%. T5s are on for 8.

It is very close match to MH. I could have bought new SB Reef Lights at a much lower price but I could not pass up getting the MH look, plus being a Kessil I knew it was special.

I have 3 AP700 on my 6 foot 125 gallon SPS tank. I LOVE them. Very sleek looking. I have an Apex but there is no need for Apex control. Their firmware is sound and offers color control and other features.
