Hey guys, so lighting my 90 gallon reef, i have an orphek Pr-156 fixture supplemented with A360Ws on each side. I originally was going to run the kessils alone but i felt they werent sufficient enough for sps. I may be wrong as this is my first time owning kessils. So i added my orphek fixture which does grow SPS amazingly. The orphek hangs about 18 inches above the water and the kessils about 8 inches above the water . At the moment im running the Kessils with the spectral controller. Starting at 5 percent color and 50 intensity in the morning , ramping up to 60 percent color and 70 intensity in the afternoon , and then back down to 5 percent color and 50 percent intensity before they turn off. I feel the kessils should maybe be more intense but im worried to bleach out corals. My orphek fixture is only on for 5 hours then the kessils do the rest of the day. Now i notice when the orphek turn off that the corals seem to begin to want to close like if they feel its night time even though the kessils are still on. Should i increase intensity to prevent this from happening ? What lighting schedule( color and intensity) should i be running with the kessils? What you guys think ?
