Thanks I just saw your post on equipment And I must say I’m very happy with my Proclear 60 no regrets
Me either. I have been looking for a setup for about a year. Found this one at my LFS for $1200. They had it there for about a year. So I made an offer of 1k and took it home.

Mostly I removed the overflow cover and turned up the flow rate a bit probably about 400-450gph. Weir cover is still on. It’s not completely silent but really close to it.
I got mine dead silent I found if you set the drain valve where the water just goes down the drain right on the money and as added safety so the tank doesn’t overflow if the drain gets clogged You can use this skimmer emergency shut off to turn off your return pump

Well it is with a heavy heart that I say about the 10 month mark I was sent out of town for work for four weeks. An outbreak of cyano and then diatoms took over and smothered most of my corals. The wife did her best but this isn’t her hobby and there is only so much I can do over the phone.

Here we are five months later and I restocked
Lost a 6 line wrasse to an emerald crab and the dragon goby jumped out of the tank or the cat snatched him. Not sure either way he was found on the bottom of the steps.

Last weekend I added new corals after the tank settled down and I managed to beat all of the uglies. Here is the new scape and the new corals.

Also added a RBTA but it is kinda shy and likes to hide in a rock crevice.
