Hey GHL - I just opened up my KHD this weekend to set it up and found the PH Probe like this:

The storage fluid appears to have leaked and then dried out while the probe was still in the box. Do I need a replacement probe? Or can I just clean this off with some RODI or something like that and start calibrating without any issue?

Hello Paul,

The probe will still be OK to use.
That white crust is the result of some liquid evaporating as it was exposed to varying conditions during transport (air pressure on plane, temperature, etc.).

You can go ahead and calibrate the probe.
If you have any troubles with it, let us know.

So YAY, should be good to go.
