My new nano build (40 gallon) is having a bit of KH swing problem

the tank been running for 35 days not dosing anything, lights not on yet just having a small clean crew and 2 pairs of clownfish
when do you think the KH stop is going stop kh fluctuating ?

Alkalinity does not typically fluctuate unless you do something to cause it.

Are you doing water changes in that time frame? If not, the ups and downs may just be random test error.

Thanks for the reply Randy
I was thinking the same about the device but it's brand new KH keeper plus and everything was calibrated so well
might be a faulty device ?

I don’t know much about it’s accuracy and reproducibility.

Perhaps folks with them can weigh in.
