I’ve watched that last game probably 5-6x now :(

Kobe made me a fan of nba basketball, I grew up watching him.

Although I've never been a big fan of basketball, I did admire Kobe for his talents. (girlfriend did teleprompting for him) He was a very personable guy and not afraid of the public (worked w/him on a couple of speaking engagements.) The news was shocking but Jimmy Fallon summed it up here -

I'm a big bball fan. Never really liked kobe as a player, but he was an icon and an inspiration to millions around the world. Have to respect him for his achievements. RIP to everyone who past away in that helicopter.

Kobe was an amazing human being. I am thankful to have been able to watch him grow and become a better person and leader throughout his amazing career. Go Lakers!
