Laid off

I was part of a surprise lay off on Wednesday, I am depressed and scared and not afraid to say it.
My kids are taking it well one said we can sell her toys if we need to which breaks my heart but makes me so proud of her.
I think if we can admit to when we are scared and depressed it helps people to talk about it and move forward with their lives.
Luckily I buy in bulk so I have enough salt and supplements and food for my reefs for at least a year, and even though I have no motivation to do anything staring at the reef has been a good therapy in some ways.
I know I can get past this, and I know anyone else going thru the same or worse can to but only if we have faith.
Just wanted to put this out there because it is something many people deal with but dont always talk about and wanted everyone going thru this sort of scenario to know they are not alone.

Sorry to hear about this. As blue spot said though, it could be a blessing in disguise.
Depending on your location and industry, maybe some fellow reefers can help out with some leads.

Thank you all, my old job called and wants me back but at this point I do not know what to do. I feel I can do better elsewhere but it is hard when nothing in life is guaranteed.

Sounds like it is time for a raise. I know there are people out there who know exactly what to do. Hopefully they will chime in. Companies like to play psychological games, I learned not to play their game.
