Hello fellow reefers! My adventures with marine tanks started in 2005! I started with a 40g breeder then to 90g and eventually a 110g. My lights of choice then were MH's and they worked to perfection. Heat was my only issue. Now that LED's and T8's are the mainstream there are so many options. I do not use a sump like most reefers. Instead I use a high end canister filter and a HOB skimmer. I know its not traditional but i have had great success using this method. I'm faithful to water changes and not chasing parameters. I've successfully had SPS tanks as well as softies and LPS.

This build will just be my favorite coral and fish, not just what is available. The tank is a Oceanvue 70 and white stand. The cannister filter is a Fluval FX6 with a Aquamaxx 1.5 skimmer.

I will be using special grade reef sand as my substrate so it wont blow around with my Aqua illumination pumps. I had to rinse for 3 hours to get all the milkiness out and it worked.

TLC optimizer is a must for me. All of my tanks have use this product. I've has good results with dosing Reefcode A & B. The doser I use is a

Jebao Doser 3.4 WiFi 4-Channel Auto Dosing Pump.

I produce my R/O water with the 50 gpd R/O buddie from Aquaticlife and a HM Digital TDS meter for testing for impurities.

For testing I mainly use Hanna Checkers for low nitrate, high nitrate, Ph, Alk, phosphate and calcium.

Looking good! Excited to see this progress!

Where do you dose to? It looks like the jebao is in a behind-the-wall fish room with the cannister filter?

Thank you! I will be creating a pathway to the tank tomorrow for the doser. The tubes will be attached to the holder that is pictured up above.

The fish I've added consist of a mystery wrasse, purple tang, swissguard basslet, yasha goby and a two chromis. The coral consist of a millipora, digitata, indigo torch, zoas, paly's, and some monti's.
