I have been dosing lanthanum to lower po4 ( phosphate e). 10ml diluted into 1000ml rodi dripped into 1 micron filter sock. If I leave the sock in the water for a few days to treat multiple times will the Precipitate that is trapped in the sock dissolve back into the water?

Wondering best practice, is rising the sock after every treatment necessary?

I have a lot of bound up phosphate so I'll be dosing for quite some time to get my levels down.

Po4 hovering around 1.6 dosing 10ml every other day

I don't know what is best practice, and best likely depends on the goal (protecting fish, preventing redissolution, etc.). Some folks do not use socks at all, but dose slowly into a skimmer inlet.

In your situation, I'd be unlikely to clean it more than once a week unless it got clogged and ceased to function properly.

Thanks for the input and that is exactly what I have been doing.. I'm not in rush to bring down as po4 has been this high for about a year and want to protect my fish as much as possible.
