Is that a no namer? Did you grow that from a frag?

No it's actually got a name now, Tyree Fist Full O' Dollahs. The name started out as a joke in my area but ended up sticking. I bought it over a year ago and the person I got it from grew it out as a frag. It's a quick grower.

No name goldeneye but it has potential. I'm hoping that it gets more of the blue striping!

I think they used to call this a Tubb's Alien Eyes -- it's 7 years old now, but really doesn't grow much, so, it's about the size of a fist. Bought it as a colony, for $50 before the chalice craze began.

And my former pride and joy, an 8x16" red/green chalice I lost last year :( Grown out for 7 years, but, I bought it as 3-4" colony -- back when you could still buy a chalice colony at the LFS and weren't being gouged for $400 an eye, yes, I said it.

I know thi s is very very old but i am in the market for some chalices and not sure how they grow since most I see are small. Is hollywood stunner the only one that plates out and is thin like a monti cap? I want a really colorful one like CB corals has but afraid it will just encrust rock and take up valuable space where I could have a flowing nice frag. Not crazy about encrusting frags! Are chalice in general encrusting? I love the way hollywood stunners grow but want something more colorful! I just purchased a jaydas watermelon. Looks kind of thick and chunky. i had some sort of watermelon b4 that was flat but only and 1 x 1 inch. I loved it but died when I was having some sort of problem with dinos I believe, maybe cyano but coted some of my corals!
