Hi all,

I have a 375g 8'x30"x30" with a 90g sump.
I currently have:
Egg laying pair of true percula clowns
White tail bristletooth tang
Gem tang
Vlamingii Tang
Blue hippo tang
Tahitian hawkfish
Mystery wrasse
Possum wrasse

I would like to complete my fish list with a powder blue tang, fowleri tang and a copper banded butterfly fish.

I have an oversized skimmer and space for a refugium whish isn't needed with my current fish as my nitrates have been super low.

Just curious if I am making any mistakes adding these last 3 fish.

Thanks for the help :)

Well there might be issues with all of those 3 Fish because of your current tang gang and because of the simular body shape the copperband has to the gem tang which might go berserk on it. If one wants a copperband with tangs it should be one of the first Fish in or it might get bullied by the established tangs

Appreciate the reply!
I agree the Gem tang can definitely show some agression towards tank mates. Never seen it start to chase another tang yet.

As far as the other three tangs they show no signs of agression at this time. All been happy together for several months.

Would you recommend an acclimation box for the Copperbanded butterfly? I have a large one I can set up for a couple weeks. Maybe also place a mirror if necessary.

Yes acclimation box if you are to get a copperband is a must, get one that is properly eating frozen food as Well to maximize your chances

Oh definitely going to get one from Dr. Reefs.
Keep in mind that copperbands are quite delicate in my opinion they are harder to keep than seahorses in the beginning, they do not respond well to bullies but once they get settled in then they are pretty Hardy
