Got the new light all fitted now, just need to find some time to work out coral placement for the rest of the frags and check par new boards seem a little dimmer than original ones but should still around 800 par through the middle parts of the scape hopefully. I added a more fish too which has made the tank look pretty cool. Down side is more poop means more particles in the water, water is never really clear anymore. Started to get some fur on the rocks now which tangs and snails are munching on all day.

Thanks., still trying to figure out flow. Want to change it up as it always been from 1 side. Thinking of getting a sea sweep and mounting it to the wall on the "peninsula" side in the corner so i can get flow from both sides. Flow has worked for me for the last 2 scapes but i think corals will defiantly benefit from flow from both sides.

Really nice setups! what are the dimensions of the tank on the left? I love long shallow tanks.

Love the floating scape look. Do you have any problems with the flame angel? Also, what are the fish in there with the diagonal stripe? Looks like you have 5 of them?

Thanks man. No had the flame for a 2/3 years now or more. Never "seen" it nip at anything. They are barrrier reef chromis. Cool fish, i didnt want the normal blue chromis so was waiting for ages for these to become available

I’m curious as to where you got the branch from ? Some of those pieces look pretty long and that’s hard to find.
From a local collector, yeah was pretty lucky as he is the only person in oz that i know of that gets branch rock like this. Was able to get all the rock for 60 oz dollars. Caribsea branch would have cost 5 x more i think

New sump ready to go in, esentially just a fuge, space for media reactor, overflow on left, goes into the first settlement area which i can put some filter wool when siphoning tank detritus, goes around to fuge then reactor chamber and return chamber.

Great looking scape but aren’t you afraid the cantilever will break once the corals start growing and adding weight?

Thanks. its not fully cantilevered it has a support in the middle. the way its built it shouldnt be an issue but there is always a risk when doing something different like this. It just has to last 2 years then ill be bored and start again anyway :)

1 month down!! Coralline is growing well and algae hasn't gone nuts. A bit of fur on the rocks but nothing too major.
Most of the coral is added now, i have more i want to add but they are all red or pink so dont want to add too many of the same colour near each other :( I have a 2 more bits of rock to add once i get around to soaking them and grinding it flat for corals to sit.
New sump is in also now so i can get some stability back as there are no more changes.
Time to get some new test kits so i can test calcium and mag and nitrate, looked yesterday and they expired last year. Trying to find a Boron and Potassium kit but none around so will have to do a ICP to see where they are and wing it for dosing.
