I changed my hydra32 settings based on the last video they made over the 6 month lighting experiment over my 13.5 gallon. It it’s obviously not an exact match but inline with the point of the video. I’ll update how the coral do in a few weeks. It absolutely reminds me of metal halide.

Not making a direct recommendation, but I believe consideration to the green channel should be given. Every gas burning bulb out there contains a green mercury vapor spike, and the wide band green diodes will spill into the high 400’s low 500’s to truly round out the spectrum. Just a thought.

UPDATE 04/23/2023
All is going well with the settings. The coral is doing great. First thing I noticed was my dkh dropped a full point in a week and the polyp extension is noticeable. The biggest difference is with the frogspawn and the montipora digi. The mushrooms really look happier too.

The only change I made was to drop the whites for the last hour of the day strictly for my viewing pleasure. I’m keeping these settings. Again, this is from a hydra 32.
