Leather coral advice

Hello. I am relatively new to the hobby and have had this leather coral for about a year but am confused as to why it grows entirely flat and facing towards me rather than cupping upwards and forming folds. It is clearly happy and healthy as it has grown well (this picture was taken 4 months ago and it is even bigger now but presenting in the same way).
The foot is attached to a small, flat piece of rock and placed on the sand bed; could it be that it is growing flat to counter balance it’s weight and needs to be attacheded to a sturdier piece of rock?

That’s my Dot-dash blenny. My favourite fish in the tank; such a character!

my guess is not enough flow. Without flow, they will slump over like that.

my guess as well, mine was slouched over for awhile after I moved it to the corner but once I put it back into high light/flow it perked right up

I find leathers, especially larger ones do not have the ability to change direction as their stem / stalk not sure what it's called isn't flexible and doesn't allow them to change their position much unlike many corals that can follow light like plants. When I do move mine (I have a few) I make sure and position it so it's facing the light.

Thanks everyone. I’ll reposition it with higher lighting and flow and see if that helps it to cup.
