Just found this on one of my leather toadstools. Looks like a scab almost, similar looking substance to BJD. Any ideas? (The photo doesn’t show it as well as I’d like, sorry. I’ll try and get some better ones soon.)
Thanks! IMG_0561.jpeg IMG_0560.jpeg

I haven’t touched it for fear it might break apart into the water column if it could be infectious. I’ll try it now though and tell you
Not hard, but there’s been brown stuff ive been squeezing out. Is it best to just cut the area out? It’s a decent size leather and I think it could take it

I would suggest to hold on a bit, maybe someone can identify it for you. But if not, then I agree with you I might cut it off just to be safe. Good luck

Thank you, Im just worried since there’s little solutions to them from what I’ve read and I don’t want it to spread to my torches or BTA. Any idea on prevention methods or if they’re waterborne?

It looks like dead skin too btw. It looks like maybe 3 or 4 dead polyps on it, and not actually a shell
