It's cool but assorted coral isn't specific enough for me! Haha

my guess would be a sinularia sp.
 
The polyps are stiff in comparison to say a kenya tree but then softer ones extend from te stiff ones.

It is also much more sold than one, although looks identical in shape.

Maybe these traits will help narrow it down a bit more too?
 
There are so many different sp. of sinularia.
My guess was from a book I have. A Practicle Guide To Corals For The Reef Aquarium
 
Yeah, and lighting morphed it from its original color I'm sure. I'm fragging it in a week or so. Can't wait to smell that :-€
 
Some leathers do emit a pretty strong smell when you cut into them.
