I have 3 hydra 26's on a 5 ft tank! The Lightning feature is really cool. I will say I personally don't use it much. I do utilize the acclimation and cloud features. The spectrum range and controllability is great! Not a bad light at all. They do have a new version out hydra 26 HD, might be worth a look.

I started with 4 hydras on mine which was more than enough. I now have two kessil ap700 on it. Great coverage with the two lights.

Congrats on cracking the nod from the Mrs.. Hehe. I absolutely love this tank. I started on the littlest of the red seas, 130d and have worked my way up. It's a great unit. Personally I think the lighting feature is a use once in amazement and show off to mates, however in real terms won't be used... I was also hooked on that feature and wanted LED's because of that.. However now I love LED's purely for the colour spectrum of adjustment and you can choose from infinite settings to get your tank looking the right way you want. As a matter of interest I have the Steves led upgrade on my hood, so just the 2 centre t5s are replaced with an led strip. Then I can still have other t5s in to supplement.
