I saw them yesterday as well. They do look awesome. Some of the corals look totally different.

Is this the LED setup Bill put together?

Yup, Wonders never cease!!! The Next generation are even better than that particular one, I just finished my New Fixture for my tank at home and when my VDM Module comes in Rick will help me get the New one Wired up and running.
The new one will have seperate Controls for every String so you can Virtually Dial in any color or Intensity you desire, Or Actually dial the Light in with the Par Meter for your tanks needs!
Sweet If i don't say so myself...
Bill

Why did chris get a separate VDM when he got the ones built into the main unit?

We did it with a seperate VDM because the apex main variable ports have been reported by some to have some issjes with them outputing more than 10v and frying the leds. Plus the way chris has it now is going to change later and ee can use those ports later.

Good job Bill on tbe build of the fixture 1smile1

Thanks Rick, Without your Computer Skills it would still be in the Office! Glad everyone likes the way it came out as it has been a long learning curve to get to this point.
And now Who wants Led's???

Well that's just great. I was happy that I didn't need the extra module. Is NS working on the issue, is it firmware or hardware related?

What's "ee"

Well neptune declines that it is an issue with the unit, but there are a lot of documented cases where people have had them output up to 15v. Some have documented it with video/photos. So its not something that is happening with all units, so there really wont be a fix anytime soon. There have been no reports of it with the VDM module. So for me its cheap insurance. Under $90 to not fry $200 or more in leds. Plus if u hook up the variable ports incorrectly with a diy ethernet cable, you can damage the whole unit if using the built in ports.

Where did you see "ee"?

went to AC today and saw it....WOW. That's the coolest thing I've ever seen. I'm definitely putting one of those in when I finally get a bigger tank. Great job Bill!!!

Oh, it was nice seeing TahoeJones today at AC.
