Leopard Wrasse stopped eating

Wondering if that brought something in, such as velvet. It wouldn’t be the first time. Did it come from lfs?

The corals came from AquaSD.

I feel like he wants to eat, but maybe can't. I was feeding a Nori clip lastnight, which he normally loved. He would go up to it and just bump into it. It's like he can't open his mouth.

You may try dosing epsom salt, it could be swollen from an injury. Can you put it in a hospital tank to treat?

Epsom Salt: Treats eye and other injuries. Popeye in one eye usually means injury, but popeye in both eyes usually denotes a bacterial infection requiring antibiotic treatment. Cloudy eye can be a bacterial infection or flukes.

Pros - Reef safe, as Epsom salt is just magnesium sulfate.

Some do, but we don’t really know the full effect of doing so

Here's a short video of a mysis feeding this morning. I see a white chunk coming from his anus now. So I'm guessing that points to internal parasites? What's the next step? How can I medicate him if he won't eat?

That said, they’re notorious for internal parasites — it’s possible he’s had them for a while but they may just now be causing trouble.

Feeding foods soaked in metroplex and focus would be the way to fix this (if that were the problem) but he’s not eating. So, a hospital tank with metroplex dosed would be a second option and it would also treat any underlying hidden infections should they be an issue as well.

Leopards not eating isn’t a good sign, :(

I am trying to proactively treat a leopard with food soaked in focus and general cure 1, but it seems to turn off all the fish from the food. Not sure if that's unique to me or not. So, any tips for me and the OP on how to make it as appealing as possible might be helpful for all.

Garlic guard or garlic extreme additives can help. I also soak in selcon.

I would feed the leopards something I knew they LOVED first, such as a few live blackworms and once the pump is primed and they’re eating, add the garlic metro mix.

Excellant advice from @4FordFamily . Don't think I can add much . Top the OP, sadly it looks like internal parasites. It needs to be taken out and treated separately in a QT. setting up one doesn't take much of space or money like 50$.

I would definitely try live blackworms and may be Easy Reef masstick. Its very easy to put metro and focus in masstick and stick it on the glass and have them much on it for hours.

After I started using masstick on my Macropharyngodon and Anampses wrasses, feeding in frequent intervals has become easy along with administering metro.

Qt is best, but I’ve successfully treated fish in a reef with metro bound in focus using frozen food. Single out larger pieces of food, soaking them in the med and spot feeding them to insure they eat it. Reduces the chance of the metro getting eaten by corals, inverts.

Can be done.

I was going to say try mixing it with Masstick. That’s my plan as well. My potters wrasse goes crazy for it. Eats it the best of all foods offered.
