Just thought I would share my experiences with others new to the hobby.

This last week I’ve been busy with work and life, and noticed how my algae growth had shot up massively. The tank is about six months old and it’s a nano.

Anyway, turns out my return pump became clogged and was hardly working, including pulling in enough warm water from the sump. Water became stagnant and toxic. Happened quickly, a week or so.

I would say 70% of the tank perished.

Back under control now, but a hard lesson to learn.

Wow I am sorry for your losses. Id recommend trying a new pump possibly How many gallons is your tank? Before you add anything do tests.
