Memorial Day is for all the soldiers who gave their life for this country from the Civil War up to today. It is a sad holiday and not just a day off.
Myself and many other volunteers will be placing flags on thousands of graves in Calverton National Cemetary as I do every year. It is the largest military cemetery in the US and is about 6 miles from my house.
