Let's see your Eyelash Blennies!

Hello once again. I need your help. The next fish on my list is a blenny. But I really like the ones with the really longgg eyelashes (or whatever they're called. Haha).

I saw one at my LFS yesterday and the owner said it was a barnacle blenny, but when I looked it up online it didn't really look the same at all. The one I was looking at didn't have red eyes. And stupid me, I didn't think to take a picture of him.

So help me decide on which blenny has the longest and sexiest eyelashes!

I saw some eyebrow barnacle blennies at the lfs. They look like what you are wanting. Brown and white with what looks like long eyelashes. I believe what I saw was Ekemblemaria myersi.

Perhaps you could find a Neoclinus - they have some impressive cirri, as do the Gulf signal blennies. (I think the signal blennies have a poor record in aquaria, though, IIRC...)

Blennys are some of my all time favorite fish, because they have the absolute greatest personality. I'm not sure about some with super long eyelashes, they seem to vary in length even among the same subspecies. The most common that ive seen are the lawnmower blenny/algae blenny, and the starry blenny which is basically a dark patterned lawnmower blenny. You cant go wrong with any of them, and they will quickly steal your heart.

I've never heard of that one. I'll have to look it up.
