So, some would say today was the first of the week, probably they would be right lol. I would like to pretend like today is the close of the week and tomorrow starts the first of the week. What's something that you did/happened in your tank that your most happy with?
I'll start! I've been battling cyano for a couple months now. Like, so bad that it comes off in sheets the size of standard tissues, think blowing your nose. So bad that everyday i had to blow my zoas off because so much cyano was growing on them they were closed up and angry. I tried flow, I tried dosing bacteria. I tried less nutrients I tried more nutrients. I tried getting live rock from more established tanks, I tried blowing out every crevice in every peice of rock. I kid you not I have more time into blowing off cyano than every other task in this tank(maintenance not the build, I took my sweet time with that) combined. That said, something switched about thursday/Friday and my tank is like 90-95% cyano free! I was super uber close to trying chemiclean but really wanted to be patient for once haha. Disregard the lens that isn't lined up with my camera :grinning-face-with-sweat: also what looks like cyano, is just regular algae but the lenses make it look red for some reason
