I'm thinking I'd really like for shimmer in the pond. Is there a light on the market i could use which I could add which would produce a lot of shimmer effect without necessarily worrying about par. The blades and orphek don't really have much shimmer, the only time I notice some nice shimmer is when it's late and the other lights have gone dim and just the kessil a500x is on.
Even something like a metal halide fixture mounted high for the shimmer or something?
The area of the pond is 2m x 2m

Smatfarm lights have a lot of shimmer.

"Shimmer" (caustic lines) are caused by point light sources and a chaotic surface.
Kudos to the Amazonia for being more diffuse. ;)
anyways all I see is the Amazonia and a Kessil. Is that it for lighting?
What is the height off the water and what lens angle in the 2 lights?

At that height most of the light entering the tank is perpendicular to the water surface (very noon sun like).
Shimmer "should" be decent with enough surface agitation.

Yeah when it's just the orphek and kessil shimmer is actually really decent all be it not too bright. But no i have 14 ai blades to lol but when they are on aswell the shimmer just fades to nothingness. I think i need a more powerful point source light! I have ordered two 400 metal halides which I'm going to give a go aswell
