So I spent 30$ on stuff to make 2 simple brackets to hang my 36" ATI Sunpower 6 bulb. spent maybe 45mins making them, get them mounted and the wife comes in and says "I hate those take em down". They were simple and blended in with the wall since I painted them the same color, but what the wife says goes since she was nice enough to let me do this build lol.

The light is a 36" ATI Sunpower 6 bulb. Its dimensions are 35"x13.4"x2.1" and weighs roughly 21 lbs. My question is if I use 1/2" conduit and use the elbows and stuff that go with it will it be strong enough to support the light or should I go larger? I was thinking it should be fine but my dad is questioning its strength.

I would just use a conduit bender if it was me. I don't trust the elbow for the conduit.
Honestly when I bought my conduit at HD, I used their pipe bender on the floor and no one even cared to ask me why or what am I doin. Oh I used the 3/4"
:D

Alright 3/4" it is then, my uncle might have a conduit bender. Did you guys attach the conduit to the stand or the wall? Im thinking the stand since itll be easy to remove and less holes in the wall lol

When I made one for my ATI fixture, I used conduit clamps and screwed it to the stand.
This also made it possible to pivot the fixture completely out od the way.
