light rails

Does anyone know of a rail system that i can mount inside my hood that i can slide my halides on? I would like to hook the halide reflectors so i can slide them over the tank and then back off again when i need to get in the tank.

Depends on how DIY you can get. Just find some sliders that can support the weight and mount it up!

Just buy a Light rail w/ trolly (minus the mover)
Light Rail 3.5 Hydroponic Light Mover

Like wise you could go with Unistrut and get a part with wheels. Unistrut Product Literature I can't find the "mover" part in the catalog but I have seen them in person. You could try McMaster Carr or Grainger

The guy to talk to would be Robert from Neptune Aquatics. He has a automatic light moving system with a halide in his shop. It's very clean.. I will shoot a video of it next time I am up there.
