I just picked up a 40 breeder. I have a T5 36" 4 bulb fixture on my 45 gal tank now. Will this be sufficient to light the breeder with it's extra depth?

Depends on what you are lighting it for? If you want to keep SPS, you could do it on the top/middle range, and keep zoas and softies on the bottom. I used to have a 40B SPS dominated, and had two 150w Halides on it.

I don't have any SPS right now. I was just concerned that the 4 bulb fixture will be too shallow if that makes any sense. My 45 is 12 1/4" deep & the breeder is 18 1/4" deep.
