Just curious how you folks out there do your lighting at night? Do you leave just blue lights on? Do you turn all lights off? Do you do just certain colors?

My LED lights only have two settings: Full and blue. And off of course.

So I've been debating on whether the blue light at night is better for the fish, maybe to simulate moon light in a reef? Or if it's better to just leave it off completely?

Thanks!

You could try putting one of the small night lights that only come on when it's dark somewhere in the room. You probably won't be able to see into your tank, but it would kind of replicate the moon to a certain degree. I only have one so my dog doesn't run into the stand at night. She's getting kind of old.

Welcome :) I have the orbit marine pro Reef led, was about 300 bucks
Unfortunately, mine weren't that much, haha. Or maybe fortunately? [emoji12]

But I can manually switch them to blue at night for a couple hours before bed and give the same effect.

I don't want my fish to have as screwed up of a sleep schedule as my own, lol
