Lighting change thoughts

I currently have 2 lumenmax reflectors on my tank, looking to change for aesthetic reasons and light spillage into the room. I have a giesemann infiniti (2x250 hqi + 4x54w t5) that I was thinking of running or looking at going all t5. ATI apparently discontinued the 10 bulb fixtures, would an 8 x 54w fixture be enough on a 48 x30 x24 tank? I'd like to keep it lower to the water to control light spillage

i run there 8x54w on my 60x30x30 and and it is plenty of light

How high from the water surface are you running it? What corals are you keeping?
