I've been thinking the same thing. Currently running x2 fluval marine 3.0 straps on my 32g but thinking of going with a clear lid from kraken reef and x2 blades grow lights. Anyone chime in on this pls

I added two AI Prime 16 HD LEDs over top of mine and they work GREAT! I have seen fantastic growth from my corals

Good choice :)
Just an FYI you might have some trouble figuring out a lid for the aquarium. Let me know what you decide to use for it because I have been struggling to find a lid that works
Im considering a kraken reef one they're just a bit pricey.

I am just finishing my new hood, which mounts 3 Orphek OR3 60 LED bars. I tested them and the difference between how the corals looked under the Fluval lights (I had two) and the Orphek’s is significant. The second photo is the old lights. The top is the new lights, just turned up 25% with no adjustments.

do they fluoresce in the light? that's one thing I know i want as well.
They definitely make the colors pop more and yes, fluoresce in the light. I will send the picture tomorrow when the lights are on full. Another great thing about them is that its all controlled by an app that it SUPER easy to use and when you have two you can combine them so they have the exact same schedule.

If you like the color pop from Orphek, then reefi lab uno 2.0 will floor you. IMO a much better light for half the price. Reefi-lab.com
I think the OP is going AI, not Orphek.

I considered the uno 2.0 myself, but felt it would not fit well under my hood So I used 3 OR3 bars and their new controller. It cost more than the Uno, but not double and they fit well in the available space and provide excellent coverage.

June 25 photo, Started Salt in February this year, so tank is fairly new. I run 3 Reefi-Lab uno 2.0 hung 12 inches above water line on top of this 8foot long 300g tank with the 120 degree reflectors.

Orphek tried to sell me 3 Atlantik Icon ($2800+) when 2 would have more than covered my tank, Radion tried to sell me 4 xr30 g6's ($3600+) and Daniel Lu at Reefi-lab did not try and up sell me on equipment I really do not need. 3 Reefi's at $480 each provides all the light I could want or need for my set up. I could grow SPS with just those 3 lights on my tank. They will put 500+ par on the sand in 30 inches of water, no other light on the market I know of is as powerful as the Reefi-lab. and at Half the cost of all Major LED Lights!!

It should be strong enough. It just needs to support the weight of the light
