Im going to be purchasing a 120 Tank 48x31x24 and I have decided to go with T5 ATI Powermodule.
Thing is im wondering if I should go with a 10 bulb or an 8 bulb fixture? It will be a mixed reef tank.

Imo I would do an 8bulb the 10 would overlap your tanks width I have same size tank upgrade going on now 8 will be perfect and plenty for sps n lps

yea sure 4 blue + 2 fiji purple and 2 daylights for starters if i dont like the look than its going to go to 5blue + 2 fiji's and 1 daylight i like blue look gives corals that pop

not that it matters but those dimensions are 150gallon if im not mistaken, i got the same size tank. mine 48long 24 wide and 31 tall

I'm running an 8 bulb over my 120 with great spread.

Dimensions on mine are 48x26x23 (custom acrylic).

Front of tank:
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Purple Plus
ATI Aquablue - OD
ATI Blue Plus - OD
ATI Aquablue - OD
ATI Blue Plus - OD
ATI Blue Plus
ATI Blue Plus
Back of tank

(OD = Overdriven on an IceCap 660)

Great color and growth, IMO

I have a 120 long with 6 t5 and my sps do,grow but towards the top of tank. I was getting about 150 par at the top but more par is better. I'll have an led setup installed in a couple of weeks to replace my t5s. Imo the 8 buld fixture should b fine for u.

I use an eight bulb TEK over my 120 gal mixed reef. Plenty of light for SPS or anything else.

I use the exact bulb combo as Ronnie, just slightly different order.
