Came home today and my 4 t5s that are overdriven on my icecap ballast are not on. I check to see if it is plugged in to my RKII and it is. I unplug it and plug it back in and I get a flicker and and a "popping" sound from the bulb, then nothing. I don't know a lot when it comes to electrical stuff, but is this a bad ballast? Could the endcaps go bad?
I took out a bulb thinking maybe a bad bulb, but same result, then I took out another, and another all with the same result. I have had the ballast for about 3 years. Any suggestions on troubleshooting? Bulbs are only 2 months old
If it is a bad ballast, what timing! I just received my two 120w LED fixtures. I may be mounting these in the canopy sooner than I thought, but I'm not sure best way to acclimate and how I am going to mount them/install in canopy.
