I saw a reefing meme today about most reefers using too much light and wondering why things don’t do well even though parameters are good. The joke being that we should turn down our lights. Brs doesn’t rent par meters anymore so I’ve been thinking: when my redsea reefled90s start ramping down at night, my coral’s polyp extension is better when my lights are at like 50% blue 30% white. Is this response something that should prompt me to run my lights lower, or is it some kind of respiration or fluff up period just before dark and keep my lights at 100% b 75% w at peak through the day. I.e. Should I let my corals tell me what my lights should be at? Hope that makes sense. Thanks R2R

BRS still does rent par meters they are just slightly more expensive (I think $80 or so) you have to buy it and return it for 80% refund something weird like that.

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
