So I’m a bit disappointed with my current light set up - two Smatfarm G3 60w fixtures over my 40g breeder. Par levels are okay, not great, but I need to essentially max them out, which makes the lighting very white. Theres also a lot of shadows. My main concern is that my haddoni gets enough light. It’s been growing slowly and hasn’t moved which makes me think the light is enough, and that I should probably just just get a blue bar to supplement what I have already. So I guess my questions are three fold:
1. Is it worth considering upgrading my existing lights?
2. Am I better off just getting supplemental blue lights to even out shadows and change colors
3. If my biggest concern is the nem, is there a very narrowly focused spotlight out there that I could get for it? This would in theory let me turn the whites down on the existing lights and achieve more blue that way

I think either or is a good plan. You can add a 100 or 150 watt in the middle, or else 1 x 150 or 200 watt pendant should be enough.

My own 40 breeder has a 150 watt metal halide pendant and 2 OR3 bars for actinic lighting.

I think you have a lot of options, it just depends how much money you want to spend
