I currently have a 180 gallon tank. I have a radions on each side with a AI vega in the middle. I'm not getting the colors out of my anemones that I would like to see. I I'm thinking about changing up the lighting a little
Here's currently

I do know I want to keep the radions for sure. So should I?

1. Put a halide in-between the 3 LED fixtures? So I would b running 2 halides and 3 LEDs. If so what watts would u b think? I was thinking 150's, I would do 20k's for sure.
2. Another AI vega and have the AIs in the middle? I'm not sure if I want to stay all LEDs
3. Completely remove the AI and put a 48" four bulb T5 fixture in-between the radions.
4. Keep the 3 LEDs and putting a few 60" retrofit T5s on the sides

Would like to here some feed back reefers thanks. Maybe share a pic or 2 on ur combo light setups too?

You could always build a few strips of DIY LEDs ad customize the colors you want

+1

Ecotech and AI do not Bin their LEDs so a flat look is possible...

If you use BJB Solderless connectors you can try a couple LEDs and if you dont like the look swap them out for a different LED using a 20mm star.

With this type of setup you have multiple options to experment with.

If you dont like to experiment some 410nm UV/Violet or 450nm Royal Blue will help.
