How many hours per day do u keep your lights on ? I'm kinda old school have 2 400w mh I run for 5 hrs a day at 50% on dimmable ballast . Curious if I'm giving my Xenia enough time seeing how they don't really feed on anything but the light what are your thoughts

How big is your DT? Xenia have always been kind of an undemanding coral when it came down to lighting and flow IME, so I think you'll be fine with your current routine. If not, you can always move the coral up in the tank or increase the intensity GL.

Right now I have them in the middle level of tank 75g just drives me crazy they stopped pulsing maybe they are just getting use to my reef idk it's been 4days since I got them they look great but no pulse driving me crazy

I take my water to be tested every Thursday to my guy I know I need to get s set but haven't yet will get very soon lol

I have zoas mushrooms birdsnest green star polyps and all looks great even the Xenia just not pulsing thanks for the link I'll check it out now

I've seen on some videos online that xenia is one of those corals that does better in the summer than in the winter (more growth, more pulsing). I'm not sure if it's a temperature thing or a lighting thing, but they were saying that most corals are the opposite (they tend to look their best during the winter).
