so i have a 54 corner tank 22 inches high and was wondering if a 250 watt metal halide would be enough to keep most high light corals

My tank is 24" and I have a 250 above it. SPS and LPS do fine.

Yeah, one metal halide 250w is more then in of enough to light all the tank,but is recomended too hang the metal halide at least 18 inch for the top of the tank, i hope this will clear all your inquietude.
