Lightning questions -need advice

Have set up my 125G reef tank that has been up and running for 7 weeks. I have a Current USA Nova T5 12x39 with LED lights. As of today, I only have a CUC in tank and a small damsel with 105 lbs of live rock. How long should I leave my light on? Do I need to run it with the white lighting for so many hours and then the blue lighting? As you can see I am brand new to the hobby so my terminology may not be correct. I run the LED's at night. Essentially, it appears I have (3) lighting settings with this light. I am planning to add fish this coming week. Lastly, what timer would you recommend to control this type of light? All feedback is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

You can basically run the lights for a length of time that suits you at this point. When you add corals a good 7-8 hrs will work just fine. Also you can run the blue and white together or you could use a timer and set the blues to come on first and last to simulate somewhat of a sunrise and sunset effect.

Also basically any timer from home depot, lowes, or wlamart will work. :) If you can a controller would be even better! :)
