Yah, the price is pretty insane for what it is, I just am conflicted getting one that won't quite cover it now and then adding more down the road. I also am now realizing I neglected to mention that the tank has a modified top brace, so instead of one there are 3
Yea the bracing throws a small wrench in the works. I did some napkin geometry and actually not the worst at about 12" or so off the water

Certainly not as good as 3 centered units but I " believe" it is pretty doable.
Even 3 centered units or a continuous strip light) can shadow a bit ( not always visible to human eyesight but cameras will pick it up)
That said, regardless of what's in the tank I don't usually believe in lighting that doesn't "fit"
A 47" light over 72" tank.
Same issue w 60" tubes..dark ends

You could add 2 more Kessil A80s and surround them with LED bars.

This may wind up being a bit over budget, but you can buy them over time.

Yah, I feel like three lights is probably the wisest choice for the tank. Maybe I’ll hold out for a day or two to see if the Kessils become available, but I am also now hesitant to.m buy used lights that are also discontinued

Everything I've read on tests for kessils being a standalone light isn't great. The shimmer is fantastic though
