How long can kalk stay saturated in a 40 gallok n sealed vat. If I mix 40 gallons and sea lam it and dose 1 gallon per day will the solution remain stable the entire time?

If it is closed to the air (trash can lid is adequate) and not stirred, yes, it is stable for weeks.
i show that here for a half saturated solution:

from it:

Do you think going out past 40 days will be stable as well?
Yes, that is the point. SInce it was nearly perfectly stable for 19 days, I think the next 19 days will be exatly the same, and 19 more. If you run to to 10,000 days, no, it will have degraded.
Do not stir it, or open it. Both will accelerate degradation.
So I started dosing out of a 5 gallon bucket and using a Apex dose over 24 hours. Putting back 1.25 gallons which is about my daily evaporarion. I didn't see any noticeable effect on the PH. Tank still dropped to 7.65 at night. Any ideas why?
Discussed in the other thread here:
Raising PH with Limewater
@Randy Holmes-Farley what would cause PH values to not change when dosing fully saturated kalk via a doser over a 24 hour period. Trying to solve a low night PH issue as its been going down into the 7.6 range and even hit 7.58 the other day. Am I better off dripping it at night instead? Right...www.reef2reef.com
