I am planning to setup a planted reef tank with macroalgae, and i also want a few limpets for some biodiversity in the tank and i was wondering if the limpets will chomp on my macroalgae.

What type of macroalgae are you wanting to get? Most limpets will not be interested in that algae and if they are would likely not make a big enough dent while eating it to harm the amount of macroalgae you have :-)

Im thinking of keeping caulerpa and gracilaria plus maybe some native species.

You shouldn't' have issues with those two it would just depend on the native species you chose. If anything they MIGHT go after caulerpa taxifolia because it is softer but I thin you would still be just fine :)
